Rubbish Respect

The Green School's Committee are on mission to improve the schools waste management, starting now! Following a meeting with care taker, Liam, the Green School's Committee is determined to improve our bin contents. Our team have been on the look out to see if we're really being 'green'. Here is some evidence of what we found....

Above is a rubbish bin which is filled with recycling materials such as the, 'crunchie', and,'cadburys', bar wrappers. These materials, once clean, are suitable for the recycling bin.

Here is another example! (empty coke bottle and clean plastic container in a rubbish bin- should be recycling)

Most of the bins (recycling or rubbish) in the school have signs telling you what material is right for what bin- please take note of them!

Our caretaker,Liam, spends roughly two hours a week sorting through bins and trying to seperate things which have been put in the wrong bins. The school can also be fined if rubbish is not seperated correctly, which has already happened in recent times. This is not only unfair on Liam, but unfair on our school too!

We really need your help to improve our waste management and maintain our, 'Green Flag', so please girls, take a second to pick the correct bin for your rubbish as this will be of huge benefit to Liam and the school :)
