Hey guys!

So it's been a slow start with this blog so far this year with so many events happening at once, but we're hoping to get back in to the swing of regular posting after Easter, so we would like to know what you guys would like to see!

If you want to leave a comment on this blog with your ideas or email them to stalsgalscarrg@gmail.com and we can definitely get some good posts up after a relaxing break.

Some ideas we had are book or movie reviews,

#tbt posts with photos from throughout the year,

and much more so let us know if you have anything in particular you want to see or even if you want to submit a post, we're open to suggestions.

Anyway, Have a great Easter everyone! See you after the break!

TY Blog 14/15

So hey guys, this is the new Transition year blog team, we just took over the St. Als Gals blog, and we're going to try to post weekly with some recent updates and hopefully, some interesting posts!

So here's what we've been up to so far this year. We will be doing much bigger posts about each but here's a quick catch up.

Oysterhaven: In September the fourth years went to oyster haven to celebrate their junior cert results. The activities tat we took part in were kayaking, team building exercises, mud run, and orienteering. We were able to build a bond between all of our year and were able to interact with some new people that we may have not gotten the chance to talk to properly before. It was overall a great experience.

Junk Koture:

This year the school had 6 entries into Junk Koture. There was a maximum of 3 people in each group. 2 groups made it into the regional finals, the 2 dresses were called: “Rags to Riches” by Memunat Elegushi and “A Touch of Glass” by Katrina Walsh and Elizabeth Mulcahy. They will travel to Limerick on the 13th of March to compete against 80 other people in which 20 will get through to Dublin, Good luck guys!

School play, Seussical:

Our annual fourth year play has been a huge success this year. All fourth years had such a great time with preparing the whole show for everybody to see. We have entered a competition for the first time for our costumes and have gotten through to the next round. So fingers crossed we win

Gaisce:
In the next few weeks 50 of our fourth years will be doing the 25km walk for Gaisce. They are going to walk to Killarney national park over two days to finish off all of their hard work. So let’s show them some support and wish them all good luck!!
